Our Purpose Locally

Our purpose is deeply rooted in our desire to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ in the greater Pocono area through:

Worship

We believe that true heart worship and a vibrant prayer life are essential aspects of our devotion to Him. We strive to create an environment where heartfelt worship takes place, where believers can express their love and adoration for God, and grow deeper in their relationship with Him.

Fellowship

We value the importance of spending time with God's people. We understand that genuine fellowship involves building meaningful connections, supporting and encouraging one another in the faith, stimulating one another to love and good works. We aim to provide God’s people with various opportunities to come together, building a strong community that is united in Jesus Christ.

Discipleship

Equipping believers for serving the Lord Jesus Christ is a crucial aspect of our purpose. Therefore, studying the Scriptures in context is a vital aspect of our ministry. Thus, we prioritize teaching and mentoring that will help believers grow in their knowledge of God's Word, deepen their faith, and be equipped to serve others in love and humility.

Evangelism

The message of salvation is the most important message in the history of mankind. Therefore, it is our desire to share it with our community and with the world. Therefore, we seek to equip believers to boldly and passionately share the Gospel in their daily lives.

Ministry

Our church seeks to serve the spiritual needs of the people of our community. CBC seeks to be a venue of light in a world of darkness.

Our Purpose Globally

Our aim is not only to see the Gospel proclaimed but to equip and train believers from different cultures and backgrounds for God's work. We understand that fulfilling the Great Commission requires supporting missionaries of like faith and practice. We desire to be a church that impacts the nations for Christ, partnering with like-minded individuals and organizations to make a lasting difference for eternity.

Therefore, we actively support missions, both financially and in prayer, that align with our faith and values. Since the local church is the primary program by which God is glorified today, we support church planting missionaries and missions that are directly related to the church planting process. We support men who are biblically qualified and who have received appropriate seminary training in their field.
